A productive Ramadan can be challenging for many of us who work long hours for our family, then come home to kids and chores.
It can leave us feeling alone and lacking. And that shouldn’t be the case because that is not what the month was intended for.
Ramadan does not come to burden us. Only the opposite is true.
Ramadan comes to lift our burdens, recharge our faith and purpose, and most of all, it shows us what matters most in our life.
No doubt, this is a month of worship and the Quran. But above all, it’s a month of reflection and turning back to Allah.
It’s not about spontaneous big acts of worship that we do just this month, though they have their rewards.
What’s even better is the small consistent deeds that we do in Ramadan and every month after that.
A productive Ramadan can seem like a dream for many mums, especially if being productive means voluntary acts of worship or reading the entire Quran.
But there are many things we can do, small but effective and big in the Sight of our Lord.
The small consistent deeds that we do every day are what Allah loves most.
What we want is for Ramadan to be a training ground, a time of reflection and recharge.
Do what is sustainable for months to come until next Ramdan, and that is truly a great achievement.
I am happy to share with you 2 challenges.
A Quran challenge to help guide you to hopefully finishing the Book, if you can. We must try our best.
But we must also try to understand the Quran so that we can live up to its great ideas and aim for the high ambitions that it has for us all.
And a Ramdan challenge to bring us out of our comfort zone, but still keep it real and sustainable.
